New Refugee Life Minisitries Coordinator Named

All of us at World Relief Minnesota are sad to say goodbye to Melissa Keane who has faithfully served the Lord, the refugee community, and our church teams as our Refugee Life Ministries (RLM) coordinator.  Melissa will continue to work with World Relief through mid-July as she provides orientation and transition support to the new RLM coordinator, Jessica Wills.  We rejoice in Melissa and Nick’s desire for Melissa to be a stay-at-home mom.  Melissa plans to continue as an active RLM volunteer and to provide her insights and experience to our growing RLM program and new staff.  Thank you Melissa for a job well done and for helping to grow the ministry of RLM and increasing the impact area churches are having amongst our burgeoning refugee community.

While we are saddened by Melissa’s upcoming departure, we also rejoice that God has provided a talented and energetic new RLM Coordinator.  Jessica Wills is a graduate of St. Cloud State University (SCSU) with an educational background in Sociology and International Relations.  She has worked and volunteered with Lutheran Social Services in the area of employment and new refugee arrival social services; started the Sojourner ministry to refugees at her church, Calvary Community, in St Cloud; and was a missional team leader with Campus Crusade working with international students at SCSU.  She has also been a member of the Refugee and Immigrant Equity Coalition (RIEC) in St Cloud, working to bridge the gap between the community and refugees/immigrants.

Jessica will start her ministry to RLM churches on July 9th.   Please help us welcome Jessica as we give thanks to the Lord for his provision.
